The World Health Organisation (WHO) has launched the first-ever to sell drugs with new formulations to treat erectile dysfunction in the UK.
Levitra was first approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in March 2023 and was the first non-prescription drug to be introduced.
Levitra is the first of its kind and has been available in over 60 countries since its introduction in 1999.
Levitra will now be available in three different formulations, and is being developed by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer UK.
The drug, sold by the company as Nuvaring, is a combination of sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) and vardenafil (a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor).
